Education is indispensable to the progress of individuals and society at large. In the post-independence period, the Zambian government has undertaken significant efforts to expand and improve the national education system. These government initiatives have been complemented by the work of numerous local and international players in the sector.
In recent years, Zambia has continued to focus on improving its education system by addressing infrastructure gaps, enhancing teacher training, and implementing curriculum reforms. The government has also worked to integrate technology into classrooms and expand access to higher education. Consequently, the future of educational endeavours in Zambia presents numerous opportunities for the participation of various players in the education sector.
In its strategy, Banani College is rethinking the aims and conception of education in general and teacher training education in particular. The aim of education as espoused by the College is to assist students in their spiritual and intellectual growth as individuals, and in the development of their capacities to contribute to the transformation of society.
📢 Exciting Announcement: > The College will offer a Diploma program in Early Childhood Education (ECE) with the intention of organically adding other programs focused on community development. The college is slated to open in January 2027.
To contribute distinctively to the empowerment of students who, as a result of the quality of the education they receive, will unremittingly devote their talents and energies to the material and spiritual progress of communities and districts across Zambia.
To offer youth a quality higher education excellent in both its moral and intellectual dimensions in order to endow them with a praiseworthy character and the capabilities required to shoulder ever more complex responsibilities associated with promoting the well-being of their communities and districts.
To this end, the college will carry out a teaching and research teacher training diploma in early childhood education, which will draw on both science and religion as overlapping and complementary systems of knowledge and practice.
